Introduction

Rod is an endurance sport leader and exercise physiologist with a background spanning elite athletic performance, applied sports science and large-scale health innovation. A former Australian Ironman Triathlon Champion, Rod transitioned from elite sport into exercise science, consulting to organisations including the AIS, AOC, IOC and global sports institutes. Later, working with Younger Longer cofounder Guy Leech, he developed scalable digital behaviour-change programs that have helped thousands of Australians improve long-term health outcomes. Rod has been appointed Education Director at Younger Longer collating and curating leading experts, evidence-based education, and practical tools to help people live healthier, longer lives.

28 DAY YOUNGER LONGER BACK HEALTH CHALLENGE Rod delivers the 28-Day Younger Longer Back Health Challenge, a structured, evidence-based program designed to relieve discomfort, improve spinal function, and build long-term back resilience through sustainable daily practices. Drawing on expertise in exercise physiology, movement science, and behaviour change, the program combines gentle mobility routines, progressive strength exercises, posture strategies, and practical education on biomechanics and lifestyle factors that influence back health. Over four weeks, participants complete progressive daily activities focused on safe movement, core stability, recovery, and mindset. The challenge also integrates guidance on workplace ergonomics, stress management, and sleep optimisation, recognising the holistic influences on spinal wellbeing. By the end of 28 days, participants gain both a stronger physical foundation and the habits needed to reduce injury risk and support lasting back health. 7 DAY YOUNGER LONGER SMOKING AND VAPING CHALLENGE Rod’s 7 Day Smoking and Vaping Cessation Challenge is an evidence-based program designed to break nicotine dependence through behavioural science. Over one week, you’ll receive daily guidance to identify triggers, manage cravings and replace old routines with healthier habits. Combining mindfulness tools with stress-management strategies, the program provides a clear roadmap to navigate withdrawals and plan for long-term success. By day seven, you’ll have the self-awareness and practical skills needed to reclaim your lung health and build lasting resilience.
